Currently nearing completion in Strathcona, Beck Developments' The Trax will soon welcome home its first generation of residents. The 6-storey, 100-unit, mid-rise will be home to upwards of 150 residents, in addition to a contiguous row of street-facing retail.

Located, as the name implies, just east of the CPR Irvine rail yard, south-east of 82 Ave NW and Gateway Blvd, at 10054 79 Ave NW, The Trax will bring some much-needed pedestrian traffic to the area. Walking distance thus to a number of restaurants, shops, and other services, The Trax will be a prime location for those seeking a slice of urban living outside of the core.

Faced in a mix of traditional materials, including red brick masonry, cement, and glass, The Trax has an elegant, modern look, albeit with a nod to the city's past. Balconies adorn the units above street level, the ground floor retail bays facing directly onto the street - along both frontages.

Once complete, The Trax will be a fine addition to Stratchona, the area already one of the city's most popular neighbourhoods.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
