Six weeks since our last update, and progress at Westrich Pacific's 5-storey, timber-frame, Park Avenue development in Queen Mary Park has moved steadily forward. Cladding is now underway, as evidenced by the recent installation of windows and balcony doors, which now cover most of the structure.

Looming large at the corner of 112 St NW and 105 Ave NW towards the southern edge of Queen Mary Park, Park Avenue will bring some much-needed rental housing to the area. Made up of former industrial lands, this stretch of the 105 Ave NW, just north of Oliver Square, is fast becoming a neighbourhood in its own right.

Close to Oliver Square, MacEwan University, and just a few blocks north of Jasper Ave, Park Avenue will offer residents a nice mix of urban amenities. Convenient as well to the core, via transit, on foot, or by car, Park Avenue will be a prime address for urban professionals.

Still to come, a mix of spandrel, brick, and stone will soon make up  the exterior, bringing an earthy colour palette to the project. Once complete, Park Avenue will be a fine addition to the area, part of south Queen Mary Park's ongoing urban transformation.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
