Cladding has now reached the "brim," or crown level at top of the 24-storey Hat at Five Corners. Below the concrete slab that separates the tower from the crown at the time of our last update in June, the project's signature white and black spandrel is now only three floors away from the roofline.

Located, as the name suggests, at the confluence of Edmonton's Five Corners (Jasper Ave, 102 Ave NW, 95 St NW), Cidex Group's Hat at Five Corners is on target to completely transform the neighbourhood. Situated just east of the core, Hat at Five Corners' 199 units will deliver upwards of 250 residents into the rapidly rising district.

Clad in an aforementioned mix of colour-blocked black and white spandrel, the NORR Architects-designed high-rise sports a distinctive, high-contrast visage. Moreover, Hat at Five Corners will also feature a three-storey podium base, the bottom floor of which will include ample space for street-facing retail.

A pioneering project, Hat at Five Corners represents one of the first developments of its size and scope to venture east of the core. Once complete, Hat at Five Corners will be a fine addition to the area.

SkyrsieEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
