The Edmonton Transit Service (ETS), in conjunction with the City of Edmonton, has launched its special, rainbow-coloured Pride Bus in time for Edmonton Pride Week (June 7-16). Described by Deputy City Manager, Gord Cebryk, "This bus symbolizes the inclusive and welcoming culture we're building at the City of Edmonton. This has been an inspiring and meaningful project for many employees in ETS and across the organization."

Following as well, on the heels of the City of Edmonton's recently debuted Pride Flag, which was raised by Mayor Iveson late last week, the arrival of the Pride Bus - launched with the help of an accompaniment of local drag queens - serves as a cheery reminder of the inclusive, welcoming city that Edmonton strives to be (the current provincial government aside).

For those eager to catch a glimpse, the Pride Bus will be making the rounds in and around the city centre as Edmonton Pride Week continues into the middle of June.
