At about 39 floors high, leaving just six floors left to go, Encore Tower has become a noticeable addition to the Edmonton skyline. While the exterior is very visible to the casual observer, few get to see what goes on in the inside as a tower rises. Courtesy of Westrich Pacific and the Downtown Business Association, SkyriseEdmonton takes you inside for a sneak peek.

The 20th floor was the first stop of the tour, where two owners were able to preview their future suites: one 973-square-foot floorplan "B" unit on the northwest corner of the building, a cozy two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit overlooking the warehouse district, and a spacious 1,500-square-foot floorplan "A" unit on the south end of the building.

The distinctive floorplate of the tower ensures each unit has unparalleled views of the city, maximized by the 9-foot floor-to-ceiling windows that also fill the suites with an abundance of natural light. Each unit also has 84 to 89-square foot balconies that each provide a unique perspective of the city.

The next stop of the tour was the 30th floor where visitors were able to get unobstructed views of a floor not yet enclosed by window wall.

The tour continued to the recently-poured 39th floor, where rebar and forms were being assembled for the next floor, providing an open-air view from the current height of the tower.

The final stop on the short tour took us back down to the third floor, where future residents will be able to enjoy their indoor and outdoor amenity spaces.

Back down at street level, Encore Tower cuts a fine figure, that is, with the possible exception of the whimsical facade of the Neon Sign Museum, which may or may not be stealing the show in the image below.

Once complete, the Dub Architects-designed Encore Tower will be Edmonton's fifth tallest building at 138 metres. The building is currently 75% sold, the remaining units likely to sell out fast!

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
