Located at 82 Ave and 83 St, the Bonnie Doon Mall has long been in need of a significant reimagining, the proposed changes to see the rise of a large-scale residential and retail development. The project will include a range of housing from townhouses to mid-rise and high-rise condos, for a total of 4,000 units (down from 6,000). There will be an additional 140,000 square metres of mixed-use retail and office space (up from 93,000). There will also be a significant public realm aspect, including green space, underground parking, a new street grid, and connections to LRT and other forms of transit.
