The City of Edmonton will be hosting a public drop-in session on Thursday, September 27 from 5-8PM at Highlands School in order to discuss the future of the neighbourhood amid plans for a major facelift. Part of the ongoing Highlands Neighbourhood Renewal project, the main target areas for improvement are streets and intersections, walkways and connectivity, bike routes and infrastructure, and enhanced public parks and other green spaces.

The session will begin at 5PM at Highlands School, located at 11509 62 St NW, in the heart of the neighbourhood, where light refreshments and snacks will be provided. Members of the public will be invited to talk with local officials and city planners, who will be on-site to provide information and answer questions.

Presentations will be given on a slate of relevant City projects, including the Yellowhead Trail Freeway Conversion, Exhibition Lands, Highlands Granular Trail Realignment, Highlands Hall Renewal, and the Highlands School Project.
