The City of Edmonton is planning to host a public information session in regards to the ongoing development of the Valley Line West LRT. Set for Tuesday, August 28, from 5-8PM, the information session will focus on two upcoming Environmental Assessments, one apiece for the MacKinnon Ravine and Groat Ravine, which are both included as part of the larger, North Saskatchewan River Valley Area Redevelopment Plan (Bylaw 7188)

The session will be held at the West End Christian Reform Church at 10015 149 St NW in Crestwood, and will feature presentations by both Environmental and project staff, who will be available afterwards for questions.

Considering the size of the project, public consultations have necessarily been a large part of the process. This has been especially the case given the host of recent controversial decisions made regarding the Valley Line West LRT, including the well-documented expropriations planned for Stony Plain Road, and the vast number of historic elms that must come down in Glenora
