Following the unveiling of a revised, shorter proposal for the property at 9918, 9922 and 9930 111th Street NW, members of the community are being invited to an information session about the rezoning and associated lane closure in the Oliver neighbourhood.

The first application by Westrich Pacific sought permission for a 28-storey volume, but in a rare decision, council rejected the proposal on advice from City staff. The new concept drops the height to 23 storeys and envisions up to 178 residential units. There would be approximately 135 parking spaces provided.

In addition to an amendment to the Oliver Area Redevelopment Plan, the development would require the closure of a portion of the access lane north of 9922 111 Street NW.

Before council considers the revised design, the public have the opportunity to provide their feedback at the information session, which is being held next Tuesday, April 10 from 6 to 8 PM at Oliver School (10227 118 Street NW).
