Edmonton is on the rise.

During the last year at SkyriseCities, we’ve taken you through Rogers Place, up to the top of Ultima, and inside the Kelly Ramsey Tower as it officially became the Enbridge Centre. Over in the Forum, we’ve learned about your best bets for how high the ICE District will rise by Christmas, we’ve seen the city through your eyes, and we got our first introduction to the Neon Sign Museum.

And now we’re excited to welcome you to SkyriseEdmonton, a dedicated site for news and discussion about development right here in Edmonton.

On our front page, we’ll be covering the latest development proposals and keeping you informed as these projects rise. We’ll bring you the latest construction updates from our community of urban photographers and show you another side of the city each morning with our daily photo and news roundup.

Get lost in the Database while hunting for updates about the Edmonton Tower. You might find yourself looking at ONE Properties’ other projects and wondering when there will be more news about Ice District Tower B. You might find more details in the Forum thread, but we’ll get to that...

Explore the map to see what’s been proposed around the corner or across the North Saskatchewan River. Whether you’re tracing your route to work or dreaming about life downtown, our map lets you visualize the Database while sorting projects by status and building use.

Share your photos, questions, and opinions in our Forum, where you’ll find a thread for each Database entry and discussions about local neighbourhoods and construction. The Forum is where you’ll find insider project information, daily photo updates from around the city, and new perspectives on development. Not to mention details that haven’t yet made the front page. We’re still waiting for high resolution renderings for Ice District Tower B, but you can get a sneak peek at the tower’s latest look in the Forum right now. If you’re already a member of UrbanToronto, SkyriseCalgary, or SkyriseCities, your login information will work here too. If not, you can sign up right here.

Now that you’re here, there are lots of ways to get involved. Submit your shots to our Daily Photo thread for a chance to be featured on the front page. Sign up for our newsletter to get weekly updates or follow us on Twitter to see stories as they come out. And if you’d like to work with us or promote a project on our site, we’d love to hear from you at contact@skyrisecities.com.
