Jasper Avenue's newest residential building, The Mayfair on Jasper, has officially opened its doors approximately two years after starting construction. ProCura's 237-unit rental building bills itself as "Edmonton's most innovative rental project," and has the amenities to back it up. Our City Ambassador Daveography attended the grand opening to have a look.
Located in downtown Edmonton, The Mayfair on Jasper is just steps from Corona LRT station and a few blocks from the Alberta Legislature and the River Valley. The ten-story Humphreys & Partners Architects-designed building offers its tenants many luxury-level services, including a concierge service, a car share service exclusive to residents, TELUS PureFibre Internet and Optik TV, keyless suite entry, parcel lockers for incoming deliveries, and more.
Each suite is furnished with high-end appliances including ensuite washer & dryer, granite counter tops, window coverings, and laminate flooring. The floors and walls are all 9-inch concrete, providing soundproofing between units, and the triple-paned windows also shelter each unit from the hustle and bustle of busy Jasper Avenue below.
The spacious heated parkade offers optional 24-hour reserved or unreserved parking options for rent to tenants, with access provided via a licence plate recognition system. The parkade also includes a large spacious dock for moving vans and trucks to park in a climate-controlled environment while loading or unloading.
Two green spaces at the front and back of the building are open to all residents, providing outdoor space to unwind three storeys above the street.
Floor plans are named for characters from TV shows that feature highly metropolitan lifestyles, including Sex and the City, Mad Men, and Entourage.
Speaking of the street, the entire perimeter of the building is lined with commercial retail space for lease that will further activate Jasper Avenue, as well as 108 and 109 Streets which it wraps. One tenant, Freshii, has been announced, and more are set to be announced soon.
Units ranging from 600 to 971 square feet are still available, with prices starting at $1,300 per month.
