This looks like a kind of adorable b&b, but I think i just have a soft spot for placed that identify as Bed & Breakfasts, whether or not they are actually places I want to sleep or eat.

@bennessb The facade is indeed being preserved. I'm not actually sure of the state of the site right now, it's quite a ways out from where I work downtown, though might bike down there to see at some point.

I love how the headline focuses on the delay, not the fact that this will actually be starting this summer.

Edmonton Buena Vista building delayed a year
The developers behind the overhaul of the historic Buena Vista building on 124 Street have pushed back their construction schedule by a year.

Henry Edgar, a vice-president with Edgar Developments, confirmed the company will start construction later this year, 12 months past it’s initial planned start date, which would mean a building ready for occupancy in 2018.

“The project is going to move ahead and we plan to start construction later this summer,” he said.

Based on elevations, looks like a 27 storey building.

@archited Good eye! You are correct, and the DC1 specifies the height to be about 85m.

Has Edgar Development determined if the building would be a rental tower similar to the Hendrix?

Or is there an opportunity to buy a unit in this building?
