Sure, some of it is seasonal, but it's one of our main CBD stations and receives very poor levels of O&M.

These should be done ASAP and overall the look/feel is BAD.
The outdoor and tracks aren't too bad. My experience is the interior of the shelters is always cluttered and messy. Kudos to whoever cleans it up every day but it seems like whatever mess happens at Churchill moved to 102 Ave.

I don’t get why our city doesn’t treat central areas with high foot traffic with a more incremental mindset. I get that random suburban sweeping of gravel from parking spaces is most efficiently done in one coordinated sweep. So wait for all snow to be gone, etc is key.

But we should treat our downtown and main streets like you would your house. You clean and tidy every day and occasionally make a big clean every few weeks or month.

All week we could have already been sweeping certain roads with 100% dryness. Sidewalks being cleaned. Garbage removed.

I still don’t get the math on this stuff for the cleaning budgets we approve. It should only take a team of a few dozen people rotating shifts to keep our LRT stations consistently clean. How is it that every time I take the train I see no staff and always garbage?? Yet tens of millions are somehow being spent??

Another day, another unsafe, uninviting and disgraceful experience with our new very expensive infrastructure looking horrendous. 2/3 shelters had open drug use, garbage everywhere, totally unkept and overall an unacceptable look/feel with no officers anywhere in sight.

Yeah my experience is whatever disorder was at Churchill, moved to 102 Ave. Probably since there's less visibility of peace officers/EPS here, and it has less foot traffic. Incredibly frustrating as a transit rider too, from personal experience.

It'll definitely get better when it's no longer a terminus and both sides of the station are used, but that northside platform is consistently like that right now.

Not confident that VLW opening is going to help anything. It's going to spread out the TPO resources more thinly as they need to cover more stations and trains.

I also worry that WEM security will deal with problem individuals by dropping them off at WEM LRT.

Not for the entire system, but 102 Ave station specifically. Definitely agree that it's going to spread out TPO resources though which should be an issue they should pro-actively address somehow.
