Yes, really very few high rises in this area. Several condo buildings were built in this area in the last decade, some further north and east or west since then, but very little new construction in this area since then.This is going to be such a game changer for Old Strathcona

I really hope this spurs some more development in the general area. There's way too many tired and derelict looking midrises around Queen Alexandra.

Actually, what I wish for the area is a complete rebuild of the SDM space right on Calgary Trail. I'd love to see that whole complex demolished. In it's place I'd love to see a development similar to the brewery district except only underground parking for the structure.
