Langham Developments' Fox Towers is now substantially complete, adding to the company's already-expansive arsenal of residential projects. The firm's seminal project, the Icon Towers, is located just a block to the south, sharing the vibrancy of the 104th Street Promenade with its younger neighbour.

Built in two phases, the 35- and 30-storey towers have significantly raised the profile of the neighbourhood with a design by KENNEDY Architecture, a developer-architect team that was reestablished a few years later for the Fox project.

Construction of the first tower began in January 2006 and was completed in 2009. The second building broke ground in 2007 and started occupancy in 2010. A combined 273 residential units and over 33,000 square feet of commercial space comprise the twin-tower development. Retail lines the main floor to animate the streetscape, with office space above provided in a brick-faced podium.

The first photo posted above shows phase one under construction in February 2008. Not yet topped out, the image captures early application of the curtain wall glazing system that eventually covered the full length of the building's curved corner. Another photo taken in October 2009 shows the first tower complete and the second on its vertical journey.

At 112 and 92 metres, the highrises form some of the tallest peaks in the skyline, and now complement the similar architectural style on display at the Fox Towers to the north.
