Three months since we last checked in on the progress of Pangman Development's The Augustana, and the tower is now topping off at its final height of approximately 96 metres.
Additionally, final cladding is now appearing on the lower levels in the form of white aluminum panels that closely reflect what the renderings of the DIALOG-designed project show.
The 30 storey tower is bringing 240 residential units and approximately 6,400 square-feet of retail space to the corner of 107 Street and 99 Avenue, the heart of the Government District.
Being downtown, future residents will be well located near LRT and major bus corridors, shopping, restaurants, as well as the Centennial Plaza at the Alberta Legislature, and the River Valley and its parks. Those are in addition to the amenities that the building will provide, which include a fitness centre and a rooftop patio.
The area is currently home to numerous office buildings, many of which lack any form of active uses at the street-level, making the addition of new residents and retail services a welcome one in order to breathe more life into the district.
Named for the church that once stood on the site, The Augustana is anticipating completion later this year.
