A new planning application has been posted on the City of Edmonton's website that reveals some new details on the latest collaboration of Cidex Group and NORR Architects, dubbed Hat @124, proposed for the area of 124 Street and Jasper Avenue.

The documents show a 26-story tower rising to a height of approximately 87 metres and containing up to 215 residential units, on a three-story podium with ground-floor commercial retail space, located at 10109 124 Street in Oliver.

The site, currently home to the single-story McElheran's Furniture + Design, is located just south of the now-finished MacLaren, separated by a small 2-story commercial building. The proposal joins two other towers currently under construction (Glenora Park and CNIB Tower) and plus three proposals for the immediate area of Jasper Avenue and 124 Street, which together will help cement the area as an "Uptown" node.

The proposal is still in the early stages of planning, but SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to continue following the project as it progresses. What do you think of Hat @ 124?
