Another new residential tower project is joining the many existing proposals in the pipeline for Oliver; GWL Realty Advisors has partnered with London Life Real Estate Fund to develop a three-tower residential complex at 121 Street and 105 Avenue, directly north of the historical Molson Brewery building, and the recently-developed Brewery District shopping centre.
The first phase of the project, designed by NORR Architects, includes a 17-story residential tower styled similarly to the namesake shopping centre directly south, with a brick podium and accent wall running the height of the tower. The proposal includes 179 one- and two-bedroom rental units, and will reportedly include a rooftop amenity space, a games room, a co-working space, and a private dining room.
Future residents of the development will find themselves steps away from the Loblaws City Market - among other shops and services at the Brewery District, - a block from a future Valley Line LRT stop, and three blocks from the popular 124 Street shopping and gallery district, which should make it a popular place to rent once constructed.
The project has received a development permit as of September, and is expected to begin construction in early 2020, with completion slated for spring 2022 and future phases to follow.
SkyriseEdmonton will continue to follow this project as it progresses. Want to learn more? Check out the project Database, or join the conversation in our discussion Forum. You can also leave a comment below with your thoughts on this proposal.
