Joining a number of projects renovating older buildings in downtown Edmotnon, the 103 Street Centre is now also undergoing a bit of a facelift.

Epic Investment Services has teamed up with Arc Studio to renovate the building podium, opening it up with more interactive spaces, including a new 2,000 square-foot commercial retail bay, as well as two new outdoor amenity spaces for tenants, one on the ground floor, and another on the second floor.

In addition to the exterior work, the lobby is also receiving a generous renovation that includes outfitting a new conference centre and tenant lounge.

Epic announced in May that 53,000 square feet of the tower has been leased by software company Jobber and cannabis giant Aurora, making 103 Street Centre the global headquarters for both companies. The building was formerly known as Enbridge Place until that company moved to their offices to the new Enbridge Centre in 2016.

The project joins a multitude of renovations, upgrades, and repurposing of older office space in the downtown core, such as the HSBC Bank Place Revitalization with which Epic Investment Services is also involved. The flurry of work on older buildings is taking place in the face of rising office vacancy rates, newer spaces coming onto the market, and increasingly competitive lease rates.

SkyriseEdmonton will continue to follow this project as it progresses. More information and images of the renovation can be found in our project Database. What do you think of the 103 Street Centre renovation? Leave a comment below, or join the conversation in our Forum.
