More than two months since we last checked in on 121 West in the Brewery District, and the 8-storey project has now topped off. Designed by DER + Associates for Regency Developments, the residential block will one day be home to upwards of 300 residents spread across 244 units.

Standing tall at the corner of 121 St NW and 105 Ave NW, the aptly-named development is now kitty-corner to the old Molson Brewery. In the heart thus of the up and coming "Brewery District," the 121 West is part of the neighbourhood's ongoing urban transformation.

Arranged in a rough "C" pattern, the development will hug a rear-facing surface lot, its multiple volumes and heights to allow for some added visual interest. Ranging from 6 to 8 storeys, the finished product will be faced in a mix of colours and materials, including red brick, grey stone, and a collage of yellow, blue, and red spandrel and/or stucco.

Suites will range in size from 560-1,300 sq. ft., and will start at the low $200k's. With cladding now on the horizon, it will not be long before 121 West becomes the latest addition to the Brewery District.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
