William Off Whyte now has some colour in its cheeks, thanks to the recent addition of a whimsical array of decorative spandrel paneling which has been installed towards the centre of the structure. Having moved significantly closer to completion since the time of our last update in late July, the mid-rise residential project in Garneau appears to be (almost) move-in ready.
Sitting pretty at the corner of 109 St NW and Whyte Ave, the aptly named project will soon be home to upwards of 70 residents spread across 44 units and 4 storeys. Developed by Greenview, William Off Whyte will make for a fine addition to the area.
Arranged in a symmetrical, butterfly-esque envelope, and clad almost exclusively in stark white panelling, William Off Whyte cuts a distinctive figure. Walking distance to two bustling urban corridors, and close enough to Old Stratcona to consider it "nearby," the development will likely be a prime address for urban professionals and families.
With move-ins rumoured for next month, it will not be long now before the project is fully complete. Soon thus to wrap up construction, the project is part and parcel of the changing face of Edmonton's traditional urban neighbourhoods.
SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
