Two months since our last update, and progress at the 5-storey Park Avenue development in Queen Mary Park has moved ahead significantly. Exterior detail work and cladding has made remarkable gains over the last 8 weeks, with instances of the many different types of cladding materials at use on the project now clearly visible.

Featuring a mix of stone, spandrel, and pre-fab siding, the mid-rise residential block will soon be covered in a colour-blocked palette of grey, green, and dark blue. Located at the corner of 112 St NW and 105 Ave near the southern edge of the district, Park Avenue is one of several projects currently in the process of remaking the formerly industrial 105 Ave NW corridor.

Conveniently close to Oliver Square, MacEwan University, and a brisk walk north of Jasper Ave, Park Avenue will provide residents with a full range of local shops, restaurants, and other services. Close as well to the core, Park Avenue will be likely be a popular address for those looking for an easy commute into the city.

Once complete, Park Avenue will be a fine addition to Queen Mary Park, as it will be to the up-and-coming 105 Ave NW corridor.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
