Three months since our last update, and progress at the Brighton Block redevelopment has been moving along well. In particular, the glazing process for the multi-storey rooftop addition has been making major gains, the front of the structure now covered in glass.
Designed by Hodgson Schilf Evans Architects for the Primavera Development Group, Brighton Block's refurbishment and expansion will include a fully revamped interior, restored original facade, and a modern glass addition upon the former roofline. Set to become home to a mix of uses ranging from retail, to dining, to office space, the original structure and expansion will host a multitude of functions.
The three-storey addition will be the perfect spot for a mix of office and dining space, the original rooftop to provide enough space for a generous terrace and patio. Located along the central section of Japser Ave, the reborn Brighton Block will offer a pleasing mix of historic charm and modern elegance.
SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
