William Off Whyte, an under construction residential project in Edmonton's Garneau neighbourhood, has made great strides since our last update. Since the project broke ground back in 2018, this grouping of new units has slowly been on the rise, and is turning into a fine addition to a bustling neighbourhood.

Located at the corner of two active commercial corridors (109 St NW and 82 Ave NW/Whyte Ave), the project will rise 4 storeys and includes 44 units in a mix of sizes. Developed by Greenview Developments, William Off Whyte will eventually be home to over 70 residents.

When we last checked on the project back in April, William Off Whyte had just topped off and cladding looked ready to begin, fast forward to July and much has changed. The classic white cladding for the building (in its "namesake" colour) has now almost fully enveloped the building as it nears completion.

Upon completion, William Off Whyte will be fully clad in white (or Whyte) spandrel and will feature a cantilevered roofline attempts evocative of a butterfly. Future residents of the development will be offered urban living with great accessibility to transportation and recreation.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
