The City of Edmonton will be participating in the 25th annual national edition of Communities in Bloom. Dedicated to the cause of urban green space, the non-profit Canadian organization has been working in the realm of civic improvement for a quarter-century.

This year's effort - Edmonton having participated in the past - will involve several diverse areas of the city, including the Edmonton Valley Zoo, the Borden Natural Swimming Pool, the Riverdale Community Garden, the Quarters, and the Goatworks Program.

A panel of nationwide judges, in addition to several students from the UofA's Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences summer program, will be in attendance during this year's Judges Tour.

The Judges Tour will take place on Friday, July 26, at 2PM at Rundle Park (2909 113 Ave NW). Walking will be required, and participants are encouraged to wear appropriate footwear.
