Little more than a month since our last update, and progress at the HSBC Bank Place Revitalization has moved along significantly. In particular, the recladding work now underway has been swift, the bullk of the 19-storey office tower now fully ensconced in a fresh, new, reflective glass skin.

Designed by DIALOG, what some have referred to as the tower's "retro" reflective makeover has brought a new look to the structure, the skyline projected back towards the city. Constructed with modern, high-efficiency materials, the tower will switch from Class A to AA, the project as a whole on target to receive LEED Gold Certification.

The 317,000 sq. ft. office tower will deliver a great deal of prime office space to the core. To this end, the site's central location, close to Jasper Ave, the City Centre Mall, and transit, will help sell the project to prospective tenants for years to come.

The airy, double-height podium base will contain a full service bank, with plenty of room left over for the main entranceway and lobby. Additionally, a planned patio space will help enliven the local streetscape upon the project's completion.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
