Ten weeks since our last update, and progress upon the landscaping and podium levels of Stantec Tower has been been moving steadily along. Excavation and construction work have continued unabated at street level, it to not be long now until the public gets its first glimpse of the final product.

A prominent fixture within the heart of the ICE District, the 251-metre, 66-storey, Stantec Tower has long held the title of Edmonton's tallest tower, though to date little has been said of what will soon transpire at its base. The bottom of the tower will be paved with new pavers, complete with potted trees, benches, and ample seating.

Meanwhile, along the base of the tower, installation work continues for the orange cladding that covers most of the podium. Once complete, Stantec Tower will be home to 1,500 employees and over 700 permanent residents, the project to be a transformative development for the city.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
