The City of Edmonton will be hosting its Run Walk Ride for Vision Zero special event on June 8, 2019. Featuring either a 2k or 5k run/walk, or a 10k run and 10k family-fun cycle option, the aptly-named event will allow participants to choose from a broad range of activities.

Set to kick off at Concordia University of Edmonton, Run Walk Ride for Vision Zero will cost between $15-$25 (hot dog lunch included!) depending on the type of event one chooses. Children under 12 will be free as a way to encourage families of all shapes and sizes to take part and have fun.

Created as part of a global initiative to curb the level of pedestrian and cyclist deaths across cities around the world, the Vision Zero program has been a popular program wherever it has been implemented.
