Mayor Don Iveson recently launched the "Ask Edmonton Anything" campaign in an effort to encourage public input on the future of the city. The non-partisan City of Edmonton-run campaign is supported by an impressive, fully interactive website, which invites interested citizens to learn and ask questions about a slew of hot-button topics including transit, jobs, housing, roads, climate, and more.

Visitors to the "Ask Edmonton Anything" website are greeted with countless pages of information, blueprints, plans, and images, all part of the effort to engage the public and ease the spread of relevant information. For those seeking to take the quest for knowledge to the interwebs, the campaign is encouraging the use of the hashtag, "#askaboutYEG."

For those without a Twitter account, the website provides a range of traditional options for making contact, including phone- and web-based information hotlines and an email address. Especially relevant during the race up to the Alberta Election, and most certainly so given the hotly divided nature of the campaign and its potentially dramatic implications for matters such as transit, housing, and jobs, the "Ask Edmonton Anything" initiative is a great way to spread awareness and foster a (hopefully) constructive civic discourse.

Got a question? Check out the website and spread the #askaboutYEG hashtag to all your friends!
