Nearly a month since our last update, and the ever-rising Hat at Five Corners is continuing to impress as photo after photo appears on our Forum. A standalone structure in an otherwise high-rise free district of the city, the 24-storey, 199-unit residential tower by Cidex Group and NORR Architects has seemingly captured the imaginations of local photogs.

To be clad in a stark contrast of white and black spandrel, Hat at Five Corners will likely be a standout structure within Edmonton's predominantly low-rise Five Corners district for years to come. Situated just east of the core, at the convoluted intersection of Jasper Ave, 102 Ave NW, and 95 St NW, the irregularly-shaped plot upon which the tower rises has offered the tower a prime central spot within what will soon become a bustling up-and-coming neighbourhood.

Caught between Boyle Street and Riverdale, and within easy walking distance of downtown, Hat at Five Corners will also serve to knit together a handful of diverse areas into one much more cohesive continuum. Close as well to transit, and very quick to the core via a car, Hat at Five Corners will be popular among urban professionals.

Captured at Golden Hour, Hat at Five Corners cuts an impressive figure on the local skyline. Set to become a prime address for its up to 250 residents, the development appears to well on its way towards topping off.

SkyrsieEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
