A month since we last checked in at Encore Tower, and progress has been moving along well. As the 43-storey tower by Westrich Pacific and Dub Architects continues to rise from the corner of 103 St NW and 102 Ave NW, the views of the project have increased in-step - as captured by the most recent images on our Forum.

Easily visible from nearly every corner of the downtown core and beyond, Encore Tower has and continues to make its presence known. Centrally located - close to the YMCA, City Centre Mall, Jasper Ave, and ICE District -  the residential high-rise stands proudly at the heart of the city.

Encore Tower will soon be home to nearly 250 residents spread across 179 units, its completion to add a great deal of pedestrian activity to the area. Moreover, this influx of new neighbours ought to have a net positive effect on the surrounding streetscape as the traditional definition of Edmonton's downtown continues to shift and evolve.

Looking up from street level, the above photo captures Encore Tower's newly defined role as part of the skyline as the project joins other more high-profile developments either recently completed or well underway. Once complete, Encore Tower will be a fine addition to the core.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
