Only a week since we last checked in at the then newly crane-free Stantec Tower, and the latest images on our Forum reveal that final detail work has been progressing as a steady clip since. In anticipation of the project's completion, crews continue to apply finishing touches across the entire height of the 251-metre tower, the last few glass panels and other fine details now being installed.

Canada's tallest high-rise this side of Toronto (or any other side, for that matter), has been dressed to impress, its sharp blue exterior reflecting beautifully against Edmonton's clear Prairie skies. Moving in for a close-up, a tantalizing peak through the glass reveals a handful of interior details.

The 66-storey mixed-use tower is comprised of a 29-storey office component, with space for 1,500 employees, which sits above 36 storeys of residential, with room for 483 residences. Located squarely within the ICE District, the future home of upwards of 2,000 people (office workers and residents) will serve to inject a significant amount of pedestrian vibrancy within Edmonton's newest downtown neighbourhood.

Set for completion later this year, Stantec Tower, along with the adjacent JW Marriott, has come to define the changing face of downtown Edmonton, the city's rise now intertwined with that of its most recognizable new towers.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
