With winter now in full swing, construction crews have been forced to brave the elements in order to keep their respective projects on schedule. Central Tower at Century Park is no exception, the recent cold snap having done little to deter the crews in charge of seeing through the last few floors of cladding and glazing work to fruition.

Through the snow and the sleet, workers have been hard at it, including the two seen in the close-up image below. Capturing either the 16th or 17th floor, the following image highlights the degree to which the cladding work now underway has all but reached its conclusion.

Co-designed by Humphreys & Partners and Manasc Isaac for ProCura Real Estate Services, the 18-storey residential high-rise will soon become the latest of several recent and upcoming additions to the area. Located at 109 St NW and 25 Ave NW, Central Tower at Century Park will place its nearly 250 residents within the heart of Ermineskin - deep in suburban south Edmonton.

Connected to the core via transit and multiple main arteries and highways, and served by several large shopping centres, the new cluster of high-density builds at Century Park will soon become a neighbourhood in its own right. For its part, Central Tower's 176 units will be but a drop in the bucket in regards to the planned 4,000 units that will one day call the area home.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
