Newly released renderings for the Pelli Clarke Pelli-designed The Louvre at Century Park by ProCura reveal a bold new direction for the project. No longer arranged in a square-with-inner-courtyard configuration, the redesigned Louvre now appears to be named for its inclusion of window louvres more than any former connection to the museum of the same name.

Nonetheless, a Euro-infused design scheme appears to be intact, the clock-faced bell tower, arched windows, and brickwork facade, all seemingly included with a particular aesthetic in mind. The Louvre at Century Park will consist of 400 suites placed above 9,000 sq ft of retail, with 2 levels of underground parking with room for 420 cars.

On target to become home for upwards of 500 new residents, the mixed-use development will feature an array of amenities. These will include a rooftop patio and terrace, fitness centre, and a library, while individual suites will be graced with high end appliances and fixtures.

Located near 111 St NW and 23 Ave NW, close to Century Park station, several highways, and a series of large parks, The Louvre will be a popular address for those looking for a mix of urban and suburban living. Part of a much larger buildout at Century Park, The Louvre will one day be but one of several high-density developments in the area.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
