Having long held the joint title of unofficial king of the Edmonton Forum, the blue duo known as Stantec Tower and the JW Marriott have captivated local photogs since their respective debuts. Captured in yet another round of impressive pictures from Forum contributor Daveography, the ICE District's tallest towers are looking good, with cladding and glazing work moving close to completion.

Viewed above, the 191-metre, 56-storey, JW Marriott (left) has all but completed its exterior work, while the 251-metre, 66-storey Stantec Tower (right) has still some way to go before topping off.

Viewed from ground, Stantec Tower cuts an impressive figure, its angular silhouette playing nicely off the relatively gentle lines of the adjacent JW Marriott as seen below.

Down at street level, the differences between Stantec Tower (left) and the JW Marriott (right) are more acute, their respective podium bases having taken on decidedly different forms and colour schemes.

Once complete, Edmonton's blue duo will become the tallest towers in Edmonton, with Stantec taking the crown of tallest tower outside of Toronto.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to these two projects as progress continues. For more information, check out their associated Database files and Forum threads, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
