Today's Throwback Thursday feature captures the astounding degree of downtown development that has transformed the Edmonton skyline over the last four years between 2014 and 2018.

Viewed above from 103a Ave NW and 97 St NW in July, 2014, the absence of Stantec Tower, Edmonton Tower, and the JW Marriott is particularly striking, while more careful observers will note as well the missing edifice of the Royal Alberta Museum at the bottom-right of the frame.

Compared to the first image, the same view today yields a dramatically different result, the downtown skyline massively more filled in and complete than only a few years prior.
