One year since its demolition, the site of the former Augustana Lutheran Church at 9901 107 Street NW is now a veritable hotbed of construction. The 1953-built place of worship hosted its final sermon in the closing days of 2014, and some of its furnishings have been preserved and exported outside the province for use at other churches. The property's new occupant will be substantially different: a 96-metre-tall residential tower by Pangman Development Corporation.

The 30-storey DIALOG-designed tower will be connected to the street by a three-storey podium occupied by commercial frontage along 99 Avenue and 107 Street. The highrise will host a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans for a total of 216 units. Residential amenities are given space to breathe on the second floor, with the podium and tower rooftops giving way to additional lounging areas.

A recent photo update shows a mound of excavated dirt surmounted by a digger, marking the beginning stages of the property's excavation. The tower will require a deep hole to accommodate the five-level underground parking garage, which will be occupied by 148 parking stalls.
