Thought I would give Michener its own thread. This is one of the two strip malls. Siding going in. There are two residential sites building. One is PK Development and the other is Abbey Homes.

Chipotle? It appears that their new location in SComm is being built with one. SBUX? They ONLY build now with drive-thrus.

Driving by the site tonight and the PK development site has the first panels of the first floor up. This is the site across from the two storey commercial building.

Views of Michener from the MUP on the southside. Soon that two storey commercial building will be blocked by the rising residential buildings

Pics from the south MUP beside the Whitemud wall. Looks like Abbey homes is close to framing on the east side and PK has accomplished a great feat. It has blocked the view of the strip mall by 122nd St.

If their homes in Blatchford are anything to go by... ouch. You'd think Mutti took a page from whoever makes the McDonald's ice cream maker, and their real money maker is all the servicing and repairs that come after someone buys the home.

Calgary's University District is Legit One of my Favourite DevelopmentsUnivercity UofC for comparison.
It's VERY Urban despite being Quite Far from downtown YYC
It even has an ALT+ hotel and Various Retail shops along a Vibrant Main St, The Project was/is Being built out by Truman Homes and Gracorp

A crane up at the Abbey Homes site. With 2 more cranes at Edgeway, I think Malmo currently has more cranes than downtown.
