Yes, the major media doesn't cover things as well as it used to. In the US between Fox and the political chill on some of the other majors networks I feel it is not great.Things are happening not specifically making headline news with heritage media that will cause a few heads to spin in the near term.
I hate that so many shots of the Walterdale pointing north also by default contain Peregrine Point.Carney message before Tuesday's budget (and YEG gets some footage).
Homeslice Big Daddy Mark will come through HUGE for his home town on this budget!!!!I saw this morning that a centrepiece of today's federal budget will be a $50 Billion local infrastructure fund that cities will be able to use to build housing, transportation projects and even healthcare facilities.
Knack posted a pic of himself on the phone with Carney yesterday.
The downtown student incentive could use another $15 to $30 million as just one option.
Hopefully the province doesn't get in the way of any of this funding and actually contributes.
Also $1 Billion to help attract and retain top talent for research facilities.
Will also be some big spending reductions/cuts on operational side.
Well beside the Infrastructure money YEG will benefit from the Military Spending as well.
The new transportation and Air refueling base for the airport is still out there. But expansions at the Garrison and Cold Lake will help.
Well one Conservative MP crossed the floor yesterday. I wonder if we see a few more.
Carney must have promised him something good to do that.
Two. 172 is a majority. I heard rumblings from a friend who works for the Provincial NDP that some of the current MPs aren't super happy with how things are right now and they might either go independent or cross the floor. Now we just need 4 more MPs to cross the floor to join the Liberals.
