Not enough activity to say it's under construction just yet, but it's darn close.

Also this is really frustrating... I don't understand how the city is still allowing sidewalk closures in the core like this.

Soil sample gathering -- 2 months for results plus another month for approvals -- no real construction until the fall.

^^
Sad to see the full sidewalk closure, they're infuriating especially when it looks like it has been recently redone. What makes it worse I think is that it probably isn't for anything other than the builder's convenience. They've been doing something similar on the UofA campus too, for the Dent./Pharm. restoration. The whole area around the building has turned into a confusing maze of fences and detours.

Nice we should all start work without permits! Great plan :p
In all honesty, I have spearheaded that many times... waiting for approval from Cities can spell the difference between profits and bankruptcy. As long as one does not pass inspection points or gets courtesy inspections, there is generally no problem (the caveat from the City's perspective is that if something has to be redone... it has to be redone!).

The Government of Canada announced this morning $18.1M being put toward the project.

Also a video:

I noticed in the video that the famed Michael Jackson moonwalk is making a marked comeback.

I also went to raise my appraisal of the project up one notch only to find that there is no category for how I feel about the project!
