The penthouse in my building sold last year. Entire top floor. New construction. 5 bedrooms all ensuite, plus a 6th half bath. Half of the roof belongs to the penthouse and has a private pool. 5 car private garage within our underground parkade. First line to the beach with unobstructed ocean views. The neighbourhood is mostly foreign buyers/ vacation rentals so the prices are well above the rest of the city. But still, the price…was listed for 2.5 million euro but sold somewhere between 1.5-2 million euro. You could buy 3 for the price of this unit in Clifton… Actually, there’s only 9 units in my building, so you could have bought almost the whole building for the price of Clifton lol.

I know it’s hard to compare markets, but you can literally compare Clifton to ANY market and sees it’s not realistically priced.

Don’t get me wrong. I actually don’t mind the location and look of Clifton… but I think they’re just being ridiculous greedy. But something’s only worth what someone is willing to pay…and they have the sales so…we’ll see. Maybe it’s some depreciation tax right off scheme for the buyers 😂. I’m so curious to see the pricing on that new one coming to sask drive.

Entire building here

Is blatant advertising allowed in this forum? Contact us for a winter house rental opportunity in the city centre. 20 min walk from Praia da Rocha! 😂 😳 ☺️

I mean... if it sells it sells ig 😭

I would be shocked if it stayed at that price tho. 99% chance it goes down soon.

Sorry, why are we slagging this building again.....? Can't remember why?
While most of us can not hope to afford to live in it, the building looks nice and will be a good addition to the area, not to mention the economic activity its construction will generate.

In other cities that are more used to having more upscale and expensive buildings, this would not be a big thing, but here in Edmonton something that stands out too much can be frowned upon.

I feel we need to get over that some and whatever envy that may be part of it.

Literally nothing to do with luxury and nothing to do with envy. It’s incredibly simple. I don’t know how it can be any more clear that if these unit asking prices were halved THEY WOULD STILL BE HIGH. I don’t know how else to say it so I’ll give up.
