Well, I guess none of the runner-ups were willing to give it a go for that gorgeous retail space... damn demic!
I actually think it would be cool for Rohit to run another "The Cut" contest this Spring as originally it was very creative and great marketing for all involved.
As the end for this damn demic slowly approaches, Rohit could just rebrand the contest from "The Cut" to "Cut the Mask Party"? Whew!

Yup.

Unfortunate timing, for we could have had Jack's Burger Shack or Avila Arepa's offshoot along with a solid independent coffee joint... but I have doubt that it is just a matter of time given the amount of infill and lack of walkable options.
 
Every time I stop by Panini's I tell them they should move over to that space.

I think people have already begun moving in? I saw someone park in the underground parkade, and a UPS truck stopped at the curb while the driver went inside with a package.

It's a nice walk from Stadium Yards to the Stadium LRT station. There's pretty landscaping, benches, and a garbage can (on the station's side). Although, I think there should be a garbage can at the other end as well, because I can't imagine everyone will seek that garbage can out.

Also, speaking of those remaining buildings, lets just all hope the land underneath the Canadian Linen building isn't contaminated.

there may be some issues but linens buildings are not typically as problematic or as difficult to clean as dry cleaning plants.

the issues are also different with the dry cleaning plants usually contaminated with various chlorinated solvents.

linens buildings are usually limited to some hydrocarbons from vehicle storage and repair and some cleaning supplies. the largest concern is anaerobic bacteria (and other potential bio-hazards) if they have been handling a lot of hospital or medical linens. the issue with some of those contaminants is that they can be reasonably hardy in soils and water.

I like the look but for the life of me I can not understand why we have to run HVAC up the outside of a new building. A reno I understand but god did someone not look at the drawings and say I need a couple of feet indoor to run the mech. It doesn't take that much away from revenue.
