It is going to be rental not condo, which when planned as rental doesn't see a developer exit as frequently like Lamb did on a condo project. As an aside, Concord is Vancouver based and does very little outside of Vancouver.

Surely you don't mean Concord Pacific out of Vancouver - as they are building everywhere in Canada BUT Edmonton. https://www.concordpacific.com/communities/

The real question is that when the DP is issued, how long do they wait to submit the building permit?

Better if it was 1-year with a further fee for an extension in two 6-month increments. Ideally these should be linked -- Zoning Change conditional on a Development Permit in turn conditional on a Building Permit (or at least Demolition Permit conditional on a Foundation Permit). The City would have to amp up its approval processes to match deadlines -- but that would be good for development anyway.

Rohit would not be an obtaining a DP if they weren't going to start building relatively quickly afterwards. Not an issue at this site.
They could easily wait to submit the BP - that happens quite often with big projects. Didn't someone say they were focusing on other development sites before starting this next phase of Stadium Yards?

Yes I was told from someone there a few weeks back that they are moving on to a couple of Strathcona projects for now.
