I might be wrong, but I think southbound trains get the weast platform.

speaking of lighting. someone involved with the electricity had beef with the sign people, apparently. that giant flat LED fixture next to the main west-side sign (visible in the photo, much more obtrusive in real life) has to be some sort of mistake. I saw it for the first time about a week ago and was shocked. it doesn't need to be there, the wash from the platform lights are plenty; but what really got me was that it's wired in off an external conduit and surface mount box, like 3' from the sign. it's a big, presumably permanent fixture tacked onto the facade of an otherwise very well detailed (in my opinion, at least) station. it's so weird. there's gotta be a story there.
