Much buzz over Edmonton Neon Sign Museum's latest expansion
Canada’s first outdoor Neon Sign Museum is set to expand again—7 restored signs have been added at 104 Street and 104 Avenue, with a couple even spilling across the street to the Mercer Building.

For Tim Pedrick, a director with the Alberta Sign Association, it’s been a labour of love. “The first signs were great, but the signs that we’ve added make it twice as good, or more,” he said. “I’m so excited to see them all lit up, I may sleep under them.”

@Daveography I remember that used to be the main annoyance going to the drive-in theatre…. on clear nights around the summer solstice there always seemed to be a glow in the sky -- even at midnight. That aside, the Neon museum seems to be gaining in raw substance -- certainly brings back memories. Thanks for taking note.

'New' neon sign rocks its way into Edmonton museum
The first moving neon sign in Edmonton has found a new home alongside other heritage signs on 104th Street near Rogers Place.

For 44 years, the Hayden's Fine Furniture & Appliances sign steadily rocked as customers entered the store on 34th Avenue and 101st Street.

The sign is now a colourful addition to the Edmonton Neon Sign Museum.

"I've got to admit it's getting better... it's getting better all the time" (a little Beatles tribute to the guitar addition to the neon museum). Strikes the proper chord don't you think. Mother would be pleased.
