How common is terracotta cladding used in Edmonton? Seems like an interesting but perhaps unconventional material for cladding (in my uneducated opinion)
Pretty freakin' rare in my estimation. I've seen a few houses and whatnot that have made use of it, but the only two buildings of any notoriety or scale that come to my mind are the McLeod Building, and the long demolished Williamson Block which stood at 9815 Jasper Ave.

Located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Garneau, this two-tower mixed use concept features student housing, rental accommodations and commercial leasing opportunities. The project is anticipated to be comprised of approximately 7,000 sq. ft. of commercial and retail space fronting 112th Street, approximately 155,000 sq. ft. of student residences and approximately 232,000 sq. ft. of rental apartment units, with approximately 105,000 sq. ft. of two levels below grade parking.

Great project. This area can take on a lot more density! Awesome to see.

As someone who used to constantly walk by this exact same spot for five years, it's going to be quite nice to see something else besides an empty lot and a parking lot in this area!
Agreed. I did the same thing and I swear everytime I walked past I'd say " When are they going to build something here."
