Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

I wonder if this will be a decent connecting flight as well as LAX obviously is a major airport.
It is, but very little YEG-LAX connects onward... ~5% historically and I don't see any real reason for that to shift. YEG travelers bound for LA itself fill it no problem.

interesting why is this not applicable in other previously mentioned connector cities like Denver, Minneapolis, Seattle, San Fran etc.
With all 4 of those mentioned there are likely a higher percentage of connections to other places within the USA than would be happening at LAX. Although It might also be less about the double customs and more that LAX is a more popular destination that stands on it's own and less of a connection hub than Denver or Minneapolis might be.

thanks everyone for answering my questions - new to a lot of business travel and difficult to find a lot of this info online.

Surprised they got rid Palm Springs, not SFO. If they could get Palm Springs 3X and Cabo 2X that would be a pretty good set up for Edmonton from Flair.
