I would love to see a CityTV, SportsNet or Hockey Night In Canada broadcast live from the 4th St Promenade. Or how about a listener booth by SONIC 102.9 or KISS 91.7? Or being able to wave hi to Lauren Hunter from her DJ booth?

I can’t think of a better urban amenity than Lauren Hunter

The space has been empty for some time. I really don't think this is the time to get too picky.

Realistically, what other possibility is there right now - another 7-11 or Shoppers Drug Mart? I am not sure even that.

I suppose there could also be another pay day loan outlet or marijuana retail store, however the former tend to avoid newer more expensive spaces and the latter I feel is the market is getting saturated.

My wishlist for Downtown would include:

Simon's
Zara
Lululemon
Uniqlo
DSW
Nordstrom
Winners/HomeSense
(some street facing, some on ECC)

Gangnam Street Food (street facing)
Burger King (street facing)
McDonalds (street facing)
A&W (street facing)
REC Room (ICE District or ECC)

PetSmart (street facing)
IKEA Design (street facing)
FreshCO or NoFrills (south of Jasper, somewhere, maybe in a podium)
ANY big box store, in an urban format (I'd kill to see that Best Buy on 104ave/109st give way to a tower and move to anchor a big podium in the Warehouse district)
I'd also love if one of the Rexal or Shoppers could become a London Drugs, which is a much more useful and diverse store.

I like your list for the most part, ChazYEG.

I'd throw in:
hardware store (e.g. Home Hardware)
IMAX theatre
bowling alley (if one doesn't show up in Ice District)
another menswear store such as Harry Rosen
a new location for Hudsons - maybe RHW?
Indigo, which could replace the small & outdated Coles in ECC
IHOP
Rogers media (TV/radio)
shoe shine service, which disappeared many years ago
3rd location of Square One coffee (I love their West Block location)
Henry Singer moves to street-facing location
men's spa to replace The Board Room

Not talking 'Downtown' folks but rather Encore.

I'd love the kitchen sink too.
