Definitely a legit 'world class' sports amenity and building for the city and will even bring added exposure and prominence to the already architecturally impressive pool which is getting a refresh.

It's funny how this building is hidden by trees when you drive by on 111 or 142, in the summer at least. Some people might not even notice it's there.

Wasn't there an entirely cheaped-out box of a community centre built roughly ten-ish years ago?

There's definitely a tinge of irony in how some of the most architecturally interesting buildings constructed by the City in the past decade are all pretty hidden away from plain sight (this project, Capilano Library, EPS HQ, Borden Park Pavilion)
