After months spent finalizing bill payments, the city has formally issued a bill to the province for collecting their share of property tax.

Also interesting for those that saw their municipal taxes go up.

"The invoice was requested by (Calgary) city council in March after the provincial property tax portion went up 15.6 per cent compared with the previous year."

People, including Smith, love to point out the deficits the NDP had under Notley but there were times oil was less than $30/barrel.

But of course it's OK for Smith to run deficits because oil is lower than budgeted.
